Epic Power Rangers Discussion

Over the course of the Season, Tommy's powers are both fading and being drained by Zedd's super monsters, both due to Zedd seeing him as both the weak link and a reminder of Bandora's failures, both of which he wants to stomp out. But he's not wasting the drained energy, ohhh no, Zedd's got a plan. Over the course of the season, he's been doing some recruiting, finding various teenagers and tricking them into allying with him to become super powered...in exchange for becoming twisted, evil and forced to being loyal to Zedd.
When Tommy's powers are on their last legs, Zedd creates the Turbanshell monster to finish him off. Even with both the Thunder Megazord and the Dragonzord fighting it, the monster ultimately defeats them and abducts Tommy, taking him to a different dimension and...well...beat the holy hell out of him. Tommy fights the best he can but is helpless against it. Lord Zedd also captures the Rangers and drains something out of them, their own evil sides to finish his own ritual. While this may sound good, it is horribly painful.
The Turbanshell monster is sent back to destroy the city and Goldar is sent in to finish off Tommy. Battered, bruised and powerless, Tommy has one thing to say....

Of course since THIS version of Goldar is both still badass and also supercharged by Zedd magic, Tommy gets beaten up even worse. Ultimately though, he is able to get the time device away from Goldar, warps him away, warps himself to the team and goes stealth.
SOLID TOMMY!
Tommy is able to find the crystal and smashes it, freeing the team and restoring enough of his power that he can fight one final battle.
The teens go to fight Turbanshell again, their rage at the monster and Zedd driving them forward, they go back and forth against the monster for awhile and Tommy is able to squeeze out just enough power for the Thunder Dragon Megazord to destroy it.
Back at the Command Center, Tommy collapses as his powers fade away. He says goodbye to the team but promises to stick around. Later, he stands by the pier and bids a fond farewell to his old friend the Dragonzord.
However....Zedd's dark rangers are ready. He also begins powering up a strange statue.

While the team is still reeling from the previous battles and loss of Tommy, they are being stalked by the dark rangers and are attacked when they are separated. The Dark Rangers are really brutal fighters, giving each Ranger a rather violent un-morphed fight. Another interesting note is that the colors of the dark rangers don't match up gender wise, just look at the info on the Dark Rangers in the post below for more info.
The Good Rangers drive them off and regroup, wondering what the hell THAT was about. While this has been going on, Tommy is being attacked by the Z-Putties and just gets the hell beaten out of him and is forced to lead them to a warehouse where he can use hit and run tactics. The Rangers arrive on the scene and morph to save him. They are attacked from behind the moment that fight is over though by the new Dark Rangers who just jump on the Rangers the instant they are down. Being a badass, Tommy still tries to help but just gets tossed aside. This pisses off his friends though and they fight back, get back on their feet and take the fight to the Dark Rangers.
The attacks breaks out of the warehouse and continues on in front of it, both sides taking a hell of a beating. The Dark Rangers call up their Megazord and the Thunder Rangers call up theirs. The Thunder Megazord and the Dark Megazord are fairly evenly matched and just when the the heroes gain the advantage, the Laughing Skeleo Ranger calls up the Skull Megazord. The battle goes south for the heroes even though they still manage to take down the Dark Megazord but the Skull Megazord overwhelms them. Billy manages to find a frequency and Jason teleports inside, sucker punches the sixth evil ranger and fights him inside the Zord's cockpit but he manages to put the Zord on Auto-Pilot and teleports out of the Megazord to continue his fight with Jason without trashing the inside of HIS zord. While the Skull Megazord has more raw power, the damage done to the controls allows the Thunder Megazord to gain the edge and both Megazord's fight to a draw.
Gideon defeats Jason in combat and demorphs him but Tommy rams a car into Gideon, knocking him away and stunning him, allowing Jason time to recover. The Dark Rangers and the Thunder Rangers remorph and continue the fight on the ground for a short time before the Dark Rangers leave.
The exhausted Rangers rest up at the Command Center and get information on these new guys from Zordon who reveals that the new Rangers weren't brainwashed like Tommy but were criminals even before they were picked up by Lord Zedd, chose evil of their own free will and then were brainwashed to ensure their loyalty.
While the Rangers own Zords are out of commission for now, the Dark Rangers are zordless now too. So at least there's that.
After getting healed up a bit, the teens head home but know they have to keep an eye out for the enemy. They try to rest up at their respective houses but are attacked by the Dark Rangers.
Meanwhile, Sabrina kidnaps Tommy and leaves a note for Kimberly to come fight her alone.
Tommy is dragged into the ruins of a church and tied up to the altar where Jasmine tries to convince him to join the forces of evil, rule together, all that jazz. Tommy tells her of his own experiences of being brainwashed and appeals to any good she could have. He appears to be getting through to her at first but then Jasmine laughs in his face and says if he's not going to join them, then he can't rejoin the heroes either.
Kimberly arrives, utterly pissed and without a word, she morphs and the two battle it out. Tommy gets free and watches the battle. Jasmine puts up a good fight but Kimberly wins.
The heroes regroup.
At the Command Center, Zordon reveals a way to bring them down: demorph them and destroy the skull morphers, this will destroy the evil powers, break the brainwashing and wipe the memories of everything after they each met Lord Zedd, keeping the heroes identities safe.
The Dark Rangers call out the Thunder Rangers for one final battle in a rock quarry. The Rangers arrived morphed and both teams fight it out. After an epic back and forth battle, the Thunder Rangers are triumphant and destroy the Skull Morphers, defeating the villains.
Before they can even catch their breathe though, the dark energy gathers together and combines into one super monster: Skelerena.

The monster blasts them down and goes on the attack. Despite their wounds, despite their exhaustion and despite the damage they've taken, the Rangers keep on getting back up again and again and ultimately destroy the monster.
The battered Thunder Rangers take the injured criminals to the Hospital and then go home to sleep this off.

The tired Power Rangers get a short break to rest and recover after the crazyness of the previous battles. Trini and Sarah are on a date, Kimberly and Tommy on a date, Zack and Angela are doing magic shows, Billy and Marge are teaching chemistry, and Jason is taking a nap at a park, the stress of being the leader starting to get to him along with his guilt over not being able to save Tommy's powers.
The peace is shattered when Lord Zedd's Pipebrain monster appears and goes on an abduction spree, capturing pretty much everyone when they're off guard with the exception of Tommy, Marge, Angela (Who are let go) and Jason who manages to escape the monster.

The others are transported to a prison dimension where Zedd chains them up and forces them to touch the magic wax which turn into candles in the color of each Ranger and will slowly burn away just as Tommy's did, draining their powers and life force with them. Meanwhile, Alpha meets up with Tommy.
Lord Zedd sends Goldar, Scorpina and Pipebrain and some Z-Putties to take down Jason who has been filled in by Zordon and goes to fight the assembled villains all alone.
Jason dices the Z-Putties and then fights the monster and generals three on one. The battle is epic and Jason shows why he's a badass leader as he lights his swords on fire.

Over the course of this battle, Goldar starts thinking about his previous battles with the Red Ranger and starts breaking through the mind control, causing him to freeze up and giving Jason the chance to win. After an epic three on one battle, Jason beats ALL THREE and with Pipebrain destroyed, a portal opens to where the others are. Jason leaps into it and goes to save them, dicing an army of Z-Putties as he goes. Goldar comes back for more. Jason fends him off and is able to get the coins from the Rangers and turns the candles into energy and then redirects the energy to the teens, healing them up and restoring their powers.
They leave and return to Earth and engage Goldar and Scorpina in a Zord Battle, defeating them. The heroes celebrate and head home.
The victory is cut short however when a new super monster appears and blasts them down. That statue Lord Zedd had been powering up? It's ready.

The monster twirls it's staff as it approaches them arrogantly and introduces itself as the most beautiful and powerful of all of Lord Zedd's monsters: The Scarlet Sentinel. The teens pick themselves up and go on the attack. Despite their skills and teamwork, the monster just walks through them with none of their tactics or weapons working. She informs them that it has the knowledge of all of their previous battles with Lord Zedd's forces, so nothing they've used before can be used to defeat it. Even when the Rangers try to improvise on the fly, the monster figures out their moves and continues beating on them.
Things go from bad to worse when it grows and the battle is taken to the Zords, which are still damaged from the last battle. The Thunder Megazord fights well but the monster cheats and summons up two more monsters: AC and DC.

The trio pounds on the Thunder Megazord and even when it does manage to destroy the two new monsters, Scarlet promptly brings them right back. The battle is too much and the Thunder Megazord falls.
The monsters go after them on foot and corners them but before they can finish the heroes off, Zordon transports them to the Command Center.
He apologizes for not being able to get to them earlier but he and Alpha were making sure that the new Ranger would be ready due to Zedd's constanly improving monsters.
The Rangers are shocked at the news of a new Ranger but they do acknowledge that they can't keep fighting these new enemies alone. A light shines down behind them and the Rangers turn to face it.

The Rangers turn around as the bright white light illuminates the Command Center as the new Ranger descends from the ceiling like an Angel from up on high to save the team in their hour of need. Landing on the floor, the teens take in the new Ranger and he takes off his helmet.

The heroes are delighted to have Tommy back on the team and Kimberly runs up and hugs and kisses him.
Also, Jason stays the leader.
More importantly, the entire team being together again recharges their fighting spirit. They welcome Tommy back to the team and get filled in on his powers and new weapons. As an army of Z-Putties attacks the city lead by Goldar and Scorpina, the team splits up, Tommy going to fight Scarlet, since it has no knowledge of the White Ranger, meaning he can take it and the rest going to bring down the Z-Putties.
Tommy arrives unmorphed and then re-morphs into The White Tiger Ranger and takes on Scarlet. In a reversal of it's previous fight with the teens, this new Ranger is able to thrash it and just smacks down the monster.
The teens take down the Z-Putties and battle Goldar and Scorpina. After an epic clash, they defeat the two.
Nimrod starts to adapt to the White Ranger but he still has the advantage. The monster is grown and brings out it's two sisters.
The White Tigerzord does remarkably well alone but just like last time, the two save Scarlet from the finisher and it brings them right back and it's ultimately knocked down. The battle appears to be at a stalemate until Jason arrives in the Red Dragon Thunderzord and beats the three back along with the other Thunderzords. The others combine with the Tigerzord to form the Mega Tigerzord which lays the smackdown, pwning the trio of monsters and then finishing off all three with it's finisher.

With this, Lord Zedd is the one left reeling from the battle and defeat for a change and the heroes celebrate together.
And finally, they get a few days to relax and heal and rest up as Zedd is left coming up a new plan.

Threatening to execute Lerigot's family, being perfectly fine with threatening to kill Kimberly and Jason if they try anything since she can always find more pure hearted humans, coming within inches of absorbing Maligore's power after the Rangers destroy him, kills Lerigot, blows up the Angel Grove power plant to black out the city, breaking open a prison and arming the prisoners with alien weaponry to use against the Rangers/Police/Civilians, frequently going into combat against the Rangers, uses guns and swords, uses human shields, etc.
