This is a followup to my story for Erik in Humble Beginnings

and is the perfect place to bring in vampires and such into stories.

Erik chilled in the warehouse. There was sunlight creeping in from underneath the shutter door but not enough to light it up so he was comfortable. He closed his eyes and thought about all that had happened, still replaying all the events in his mind. Reaching up, he touched the bite marks. Inspite of all of his other wounds healing, they remained. "Guess that's how it is. You can heal from anything but those never close up. Huh." He got comfortable and looked at the ceiling as he pondered how to explain this to his parents.

A blonde girl dressed in a brown coat, fur boots, jeans, and a T-Shirt while she sits on a bench in Larwood Cemetary. She looked at her watch impatiently(I wonder if there's some kind of time table on this)

She stares at the grave stone infront of her then sees the ground infront of the gravestone rise up. A hand rose from the grave then the girl springs into action" Ok...You can do this" A vampire rose up then smells his first prey, fangs bearing at her then he rushes at the girl. The girl dropped and she sweeped the vampire who charged at her off his feet then she reached into her coat pocked. The vampire leaped on her then the girl struggled. She groined him at first which caused the vampire to groan(Vamps got nards, good to know) then kicked the vampire off her then in an instant she threw her stake at his chest, it pierced him but not fully then she got up, she jumped and kicked at the stake then the vampire falls into dust. The girl got the stake then puts it back in her coat.

"Not bad for your first kill River"

River turns then sees her guardian Methos emerging from the shadows

"Could have helped" River pointed then Methos responded" Then that would have ruined the purpose of the training would it."

"Yeah whatever. So this is what I'm going to expect as a Hunter?" River asked as the two walked down a path to exit the cemetery

"This is only part of what you will expect" Methos said

"Not a bad start to begin a series" Laura Quin said to herself as she's watching River: The Monster Hunter then looks at the time. She turns the TV off and changes into her PJ's then gets ready for bed

Nice intro.

Erik stayed in the warehouse for what seemed like hours. There was a knock on the door. "Who's there?" He called out.
"Erik? It's me."
"DAD!"
Officer Drake told us what happened. He and your friends....they're saying you're some kind of...vampire?"
"It's....complicated Dad. There's a button to open the shutter door just let me-"
His dad pressed the button and the shutter door opened up, letting in the sunlight. Luckily it was a cloudy day so not too much got in, though Erik still had to dash into a dark corner.
His parents walked in, his mother barely keeping it together, his dad not fairing much better. "Erik? Son?"
"Mom...Dad..." Erik almost stepped into the sunlight but stopped himself just short of it. His parents ran up and hugged him.
"Erik....honey....you're so cold. How long have you been in here?"
"I....I think you guys should sit down...this is going to be hard to explain."
"Erik. Erik let's just go home son, get you out of here. We can talk at home."
"Dad...I can't leave here Dad. Not right now. Not until tonight."
"Erik that's crazy talk!"
Erik stepped back and rolled up one sleeve. "No Dad." he braced himself for the pain and stuck his arm out into the sunlight. After a moment, it began visibly sizzling and steam began rising off his am. "No it isn't." He stepped back and fell to the ground, clutching his arm. (Mother of F That HURT!) Fortunately, it soon began healing itself. "I....guess I should start at our trip to the club."

Two for one! The first, was my original idea with Tony the CHirdian, the second. Is my "evil" character.

:Cue the Sea, such a strange, wonderful place. Full of the unknown. Cue the deep, murky recesses of the sea. It was dark, like the vacuum of space. Where light was lit by certain living things.:

:And along in this realm of the sea. There was a sub marine. Going through the ocean, under the orders of something known as "humans.":

:They were tiny, fragile things, as they were in a metal "box" to protect them from being crushed by the ocean and drowning. Soon enough they heard something.. LOUD on their sonar.:

"What the Hell is that!?!" :The Captain replies, as the sonar booms some more.:

:Cue the ship found latter, torn to shreds, and the people within. Gone, no body what so ever. Latter.:


:Cue a whaling ship in the Japanese sea. As they hunt for walls. They spot something too. All that they saw before they died was a massive FIN, before the thing destroyed them and ate them.:

:Latter in the news a 7'1 man was washed ashore in Alaska. The only words coming for his identity was.: "Ryu Jin." He is currently in a hospital, coming to terms with life.

OOC: ^- Yeah, a shape shifting SEA MONSTER. And named for the Japanese God of the Ocean. What is Ryu Jin? Are their more? All in time. (It was also based on the Home Brewed "Leviathan: The Tempest" fan work of the "New World of Darkness." In which your a sea monster.

Number 2:

:Cue a high school, in which a extremely handsome young man was wandering around as class was over. Around a corner were his peers, armed with knives, big, mean knives.:

"What is the meaning of this!?" :A tall girl spoke up.: "You got me pregnant you bastard and yet you do nothing!"

" Hey, I am trying to get the money for it! Look, there must be another reason!" As they got closer.

"You, are not normal!" They stab him and cut him up into little pieces. They make notes to keep it a secret.

-Seven Days latter.

-In the woods, there was a nerdy girl in glasses, trying to make art, by drawing. Soon enough she heard something and checks it out.: "Oh my God!!!" :It was the murdered boy, stark naked, currently having a squirrel in his mouth and looks over her with cat like eyes.: "Do not be afraid. Stay a while. I just want to love you!" *Pounce!*

- At a lake, a married couple noted a fire having, and screaming. They check it out, there were screaming faces in the fire. And a figure in a hood, he to. Looks just like the murdered guy. "Hello there." :He looks to them, and they fled. He, does not chase them, after all. Who would believe them?

- As for the girl. She was feeling really bad, and soon enough, her stomach spills open and ribs part, her heart and lungs getting stabbed as the thing comes out of her, it was a small version of that boy. "Tasty." :He replies, crawling on to her, starting to EAT her as she was dying of injuries/blood lost, in her own home.

I...don't say this often but....wow uhhhh.....little too much Chou. Even I was knocked back by that.

And the scary thing is? Example 2 IS a STORY I am working on.

It's horror but just don't make it too explicit

Then I am stopping the posting. Because I doubt there are children on this thing.

But horror that pulls punches? Not for me.

Laura awoke with a start, sweat came down from her brow and she looked around to observe her surroundings. She heard light pounding from what she thought was the pounding in her head actually is her sister Lucy knocking on the door of her room" Laura! You decent?"

"Yeah why?" Laura said sitting up breathing a sigh of relief that she's in her own room(God these nightmares are getting worse)


"Mom said that you have to hurry up and get dressed before you miss the bus" Lucy said

Laura looked at the clock which read 6:45AM"Crap"

Sarah Quin handed Lucy her backpack then she sees Laura running down the stairs, already had set the fastest record in getting washed up and ready for school, as she puts her jacket on.

"So Rip Van Winkle. Sleep well?" Lucy teased then Laura said" Don't have the time for you now munchkin. But believe I'll get you back for that after school"

"Hey!" Sarah said just as Laura was halfway out the door, she turned then Sarah handed Laura her backpack and kissed her on the cheek" Be good"

Laura groaned inwardly as Sarah kissed her but she made a fake smile then nods" I will mom"

She puts her backpack on then went out the door as she can hear the school bus approaching

"YOU DIED?!" His parents screamed.
"Yeah....I was dead for a couple days and buried in the forest. I woke up, dug my way out of the grave and I ran out. I met up with Officer Drake and they took me to the Police Station. The guys showed up later and we were trying to get comfortable and figure s-t out. When we all tried to sleep, the hunger started up. I ran out of the police station and then she showed up again. The monster that turned me. I tried fighting back but I still couldn't beat her. She was too fast. Too strong. She took us all down. Me, Drake, the guys, we couldn't stop her. I-I drank human blood. Javier's. I bit into his arm and drank the blood that came out...it...it healed me. Supercharged me. Made me more powerful. I impaled that monster on the biggest tree branch I could find. I dusted her. After that.....I took the others to a hospital and....I waited here."
Erik sighed and looked at his parents. Who were standing there speechless. "Please....say something."
After a minute of looking down at the ground, they looked up at each other and then at him. "Erik......."
They leaned forward and hugged him close.

They stayed together and talked until Nightfall.

Erik felt the breeze on his face and looked at the Quarter Moon. "Feels good be out of there."

He smiled and turned to everyone. Javier, Neil and Nelson were there, still bandaged up from the fight. The Drake's and Tina were there too, with Drake having a bandage around his neck from where Delilah had slashed him.
"Are you sure about this?" Neil asked.
"Yeah. I've been thinking about it all day. There's no way that Delilah was the only one. There's bound to be more killers like her out thee slaughtering innocent people. I have these powers, so I'll use them so that what happened to me can never happen to anybody else."
"Erik..."
"I know Dad. I know. I love you guys. All of you. But I know this is what I have to do."
Tina was crying. "You....you'll come back right? You'll keep in touch with us?"
"I swear it."
"ERIK! We-we-we just got you back! You can't go!" His mom pleaded.
"I'm sorry mom. I'm dead. I can't stay around here. I can't go out during the day, and there's no telling what could happen if I....."
"If...if you what?"
"I....no. It's nothing. I-I have to go guys. It's for the best. I'll keep in contact, I promise. But this is for the best. I've made up my mind."
His parents nodded and walked over and hugged him goodbye. "We'll miss you son."
"I know. I'll miss you too."
He shook hands with Officer Drake. "Fight the good fight kiddo."
"Back at you sir."
He fist bumbed his friends. "Watch your back and kick ass out there man." Javier said.
"You know it."
He hugged Tina goodbye and stepped back. "Goodbye everyone. Stay strong." He then waved goodbye and sped off.

Laura got on the bus then she spots Derrick who waved at her direction" Just you know the others were placing bets on if you'll miss the bus today"

"What did you bet on?" Laura asked Derrick then the bus continued and as they're heading down Haven Point,

"You know me, always like to go for the underdog" Derrick said

"Still I missed one time, not that big of a deal. Confidence appreciated though" Laura noticed paramedics parked near the Ruckers, one of her neighbors in Haven Point. She sees the paramedics carry out the stretchers and then noticed four body bags on each stretcher.

OOC: Screw it, I want one last entry into here, not exactly explict as the other thing, but I feel like "attempt horror."


1: In a hospital in Alaska.

The man known as Ryu Jin can talk, but in a language that no one understands, and he wrote a small little book. inside were words in English and some graphic pictures.

"Before there was man, before there were dinosaurs, there was the Primals. At the dawn of Creation they have been here, resting. Waking up every once and a while to feed." :Cue picture of a megalodon, being eaten by a mouth full of sharp teeth, even a size graph was visible.:

"Every once and a while something would lay claim to the world. They defended it, by.. Eatting them." :Cue horrific pictures of CTHULHU and his star spawn/tentacle people getting eaten.:

"They do not work for light, noir for dark." :Cue pictures, of them eating angels and demons.:

"They, serve themselves."

The patient went to sleep, latter when they checked on him, he was gone.

And in the news, a MASSIVE, dead squid thing washes up on shore. With bite marks, and teeth. Said teeth come from a animal not known to science. And also, someone found a blue whale.... bitten in half....


2: In some Dark Woods.

Cue a crew of nine people out in the middle of the woods. Attempting to do a movie to earn some credit. Maybe even money. They picked these woods, because legend says that the destroyed farm house near the woods was attacked by aliens. Little green space men, and they were going to do a piece on it.

Needless to say as they start, they note something. Claw marks, on the trees. "Someone claiming their turf I guess."

"Man, I hope it will all be good. And that. Smell. Something is not right."

:It smelled like rotten eggs. Then though they trek through the woods, camera is on. Soon enough, they found something.: "Holy shit!"

:It was a bear! Only it was worse! Not because it was going to attack them. It was dead. And something had been EATING it.:

"Man, we need to get the Hell out of here. What the Hell eats a damn bear!?"

:Cue one of the others, a young woman, looking to a tree, and saw something sitting in the tree.: "Ummm guys, that's not ET!"

"What the hell did she mean by that?" :She did the smart thing, running, because soon the camera man notes a rather large shadow creeping up on him.:

*Behind him was a MASSIVE humanoid figure. With bat like wings, golden eyes and a menacing predatory face/jaw line. With that the camera view falls to the ground, and we see mr camera man's blood.*

*Hours latter, they went back to society. Three of them were "missing."*

Latter the Sheriff's department went to check it out. No blood, no bodies, no feet/hoove prints. Just a camera.

They play it, it's their story. And after the blood incident? It shows, the others escaping, and where they were now. Cue a voice. "Next time." The rest was darkness, but with noise. Hideous noise that was not static/white noise. Oh no, it was screaming. Nothing but screaming, for five minutes.

Now THAT is awesome!

Well truth be told this thread thing got me in the mind set "What is scary?"

So, I implied all the stuff I found to be scary. On words. Growing up of course.

The three main ones is.

1: Fear of the Unknown.

2: You *REALLY* should not be in the middle of nowhere. Make no excuses.

3: As a child I was freakken scared of the ocean. So big, and well cannot see what is in it, til it's too damn late.

The irony is the "First" stories i wrote so far (Not counting my rpgs.) Are well. Children's books. (Not scary ones. Happy ones with cuddly animals and stuff.)

So yeah, trying to expand my medium as to what I can write.

I'm on the same boat with my story. I always believe the best story one could write in a horror piece is by having a little mystery in them and have some grounds of realism. Take my story about Laura. A neighbor of her's was attacked and killed. A common fear that one usually face when living in a neighborhood and something bad happens. There were no ghost, goblins, and other spooks that were shown but just a "Natural Horror" that we usually face. An Adult Fear if you will. A little subtlety goes a long way.
