"Yeah, yeah, I know, look, don't worry about me, I'm doing good. You know me, ballin." A pause. Vincent laughed. "What?" He laughed again. "I saw your game. Yeah, it was recorded, yeah. I know, how's Flan? Alright, hey, look I gotta go cuz. I'll talk to you later. Bye Matt." Vincent hung up the cell and checked the time. "Yep, right on schedule." He pocketed it and ran off. Vincent arrived at the basketball court. "Yo!"

Rick tossed him the ball. Vincent caught it and threw it back. "You ready for a little one-on-one?" Rick asked. Vincent smiled. "Bring it." Rick dribbled the ball and ran towards him and the game was on.

Re: The Story of Thunder Flash

Post  Admin on Mon Jan 21, 2013 6:58 pm

Storm clouds were gathering and there were hints of a thunderstorm coming.
Down below though, things were very peaceful.

Young Vincent Giovanni was chatting on a cellphone with his cousin Matthew on his way to a basketball court where his friend was waiting for a game. On the way, he walked past a woman dressed in black and smiled politely to her. The woman smiled back.

"Yeah, yeah, I know, look, don't worry about me, I'm doing good. You know me, I'm always staying out of trouble." A pause. Vincent laughed. "What?" He laughed again. "I saw your game. Yeah, it was recorded, yeah. I know, how's Flan? Alright, hey, look I gotta go Matt.

Music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIeOUe6BCFs[/quote]

The game went on for quite awhile, first to 15 won. The two shot hoops, tossed the ball, threw it, stole it, dribbled the ball, and played the game, having a great time. Eventually though Rick won with a shot from across the court. "Woooo! Un.de.feated!" cheers
Vincent bumped fists with his friend. "Good game man."
"Yeah, almost beat me this time."

The rain started up. "Ah man."
"Rainblocked. Alright, I'll see you next time."
"See you Vince." The two waved goodbye and Vincent ran home.

On the way home however, Vincent tried taking a shortcut and started running through it as fast as he could, trying to get home before the storm got worse. He was interrupted however by a kick to the face that knocked him to the ground. Vincent was kicked in the stomach next hard. he rolled along the ground and a fist collided with his face and he fell backwards against a parked car. He kicked wildly and it collided with the thug and knocked him backwards. Vincent coughed and looked at the tatoo's on the punk for a second. "Who the fu-k are you?"

"Don't matter who I am. Hand over your motherf-ing money and s-t NOW!"

"Up yours." Vincent said and charged him and tackled the thug and started raining down blows on the thug. He struggled with Vincent and threw him off of himself and punched the young man across the face. Vincent turned back around and punched his throat and then grabbed the thug and smashed his face against the parked car. He fell back and wiped his mouth and spit the blood out.
Vincent kicked the thug a couple times and started to walk away but was interrupted by men yelling. Taking a quick glance behind himself, he saw more thugs shooting at him. Vincent dashed down the street and tried to cover his head before ducking down an alleyway. While ducking and dodging around the alley another thug grabbed and smashed him against a wall and began laying into him with brass knuckles. Vincent shielded his face with his hands as the punishing blows struck him and were making him bleed and leaving on his body. He managed a lucky kick in the balls and made him back off. Vincent dug out his tazer and fired at him, causing the thug to scream in pain and dropped him. Vincent rested against the wall and spit blood from his mouth. His face was a cut and bruised mess and the rain was pouring down against him and lightning was flashing and thunder was booming. Hearing the others coming, he frantically dug through the punk's pockets and pulled out a handgun. Vincent turned and ran. As they started following him, Vincent fired wildly in desperation and made them duck even as they fired back, one of the bullet's grazing his side. Vincent cried out in pain and slammed his body against a door and forced it open. He fell to the ground and stumbled to his feet and ran through the building, yelling for people to get out of his way.

Running outside, the thugs were right behind him and Vincent fired in their direction and kept going, his body hurt like utter hell but the fear and adrenaline kept him going. He saw a young man smoking a cigarette as he stood in the street as if he was waiting for Vincent.

He reached into his coat as if he was pulling a gun and Vincent fired on him but the man raised his hand and the bullet's were deflected by some invisible force and then the gun itself was pulled from Vincent's hands. The trench coat man was a meta. Unarmed and with a metahuman standing in front of him and the others coming after him, Vincent booked it with the trenchcoat man running after him. A car pulled up suddenly and nearly hit him but Vincent slid along the hood of it and down the alley but was stopped by a brick wall and no doors. "No....no...nononononoooo...." He turned and saw the trench coat man walking down after him, taking his time. He reached out and a metal rod flew to his hand. "Wait...jus-jus-just wait a second man..." Vincent started.
"Sorry dude, nothin personal, you just f-ed with my friends s'all." He said and the rod started levitating. "No...p-please...we-we can....we can talk..." Vincent backed up against the wall. He looked for someone, anyone to help him....and saw the woman in black sitting on a dumpster. The trench coat man didn't see her. Before Vincent could cry for help though, the rod shot through the air like a missile and pierced Vincent's heart. Vincent could only stare at it. He reached up with trembling hands to try and pull it out but he started spitting up blood from his mouth as it poured down his chest. He looked up at the criminals who laughed as they watched him die. The strength left Vincent's body as he fell on his back.He gargled his blood and tried in vain to call for help but could only cry tears his life left him. Images of his family flashed before his eyes, his friends, school, his dreams, all of it. He went limp and he stared at the sky as the thugs opened his pockets and stole away his wallet and phone and walked away.

The woman in black knelt down next down to the boy and rubbed her hand against his cheek. Ambulances were far away. The boy would not be saved by them. It was time to go. She was about to take him away from all of this but then looked up in the sky as five lightning bolts struck the metal rod in his chest and traveled down the metal into his chest. His eyes flashed as his body started to spasm and the rod was pushed out of his chest. The woman tapped a finger against her cheek before smiling and standing up. She would see the boy again but either by chance or by fate, he had been granted a second chance. She skipped out of the alley and vanished.

"Is he alive?"
"God look at this kid, was it that rod that did this to him?"
"We're losing him! We need to defib!"
"Charged and ready! Clear!" The lights flickered as his body jumped. "Clear!" Again the lights flickered and the machines in the room started to malfunction. Vincent's eyes shot open and got up, yelling and thrashing. "Hold him! Hold him down!" The hospital workers struggled with Vincent until he passed back out. His breathing was normal. "Alright....alright....let's get him fixed up..."

The next time Vincent woke up, he was in a hospital bed and feeling like hell. He had bandages on his face and on his chest and stomach. It took Vincent a few moments to process where he was. There was also an IV feed in his arm and machines monitoring his vitals. He took them out and tried to get up but fell over. He reached out and grabbed onto a machine. It shut down as the electricity in the machine flowed into his body. Vincent felt his strength returning and he stood up straight and walked out of his hospital room.

Vincent glanced around and saw doctors and nurses walking around. A nurse ran up to him. "Sir? Sir! Sir you shouldn't be out of bed, you need to rest!"
"What am I doing here? Where's my dad?!" Vincent asked and grabbed the nurse's shoulders, accidentially giving her a static jolt. She jumped. "Wha? What?"
"I-I don't know...I-IIII..."

"Vincent!" His dad ran up and Vincent turned and hugged him. "DAD! What happened to me? Why am I here?"
"There....was a gang attack son. You got hurt and were sent here when somebody called the police."
"I....was...hurt..." Suddenly all the memories of that day rushed back to him. Vincent backed up and put a hand on his chest. "I.....dad....I-I...I was hurt...I was stabbed and-and-and...."

"I know, I know son." His father fought the tears in his eyes. "But the doctor's fixed you up, you're fine now." Norman helped his son back to his room. On the way, Vincent's hand touched a light switch and the light's flickered in the hospital.

After a few days of recovery, Vincent was allowed to leave. They escorted him out in a wheelchair and his dad and the nurse helped him into the car. "How are you feeling?" Norman asked.

"Starved." Vincent smiled.

"Come on then, let's get some food." Norman drove him to a restaurant and they got a seat and Vincent got himself a burger and some fries and a soda. The two caught up on what he'd been missing while in the hospital. There was some work he'd missed in school obviously and Randy and several other students had sent him get well soon cards. Norman had been working long hours in the office but visited him whenever possible. As a result of his extra work, he'd gotten a couple days off to spend with his son. Vincent grinned.

After eating up, paying the tip and leaving, Vincent arrived home. "Whoooo! Home sweet home!" He cheered and the lights flickered. "....."

Norman tried the lights, they worked just fine. "Huh. Well anyway, glad you're home son."

"Right, thanks dad. I'm gonna take a nap and then I'll go catch up on my work."

Norman hugged his son and Vincent patted his dad on the back and then ran to his room.

"Right, thanks dad. I'm gonna take a nap and then I'll go catch up on my work."

Norman hugged his son and Vincent patted his dad on the back and then ran to his room.

Vincent collapsed on his bed. "Ohhhh man, what a day." He stared up at the ceiling fan as the light's flickered. "...Wait..." Shocked

It took him a minute to realize it. Back then.....at the hospital...and the light switch...the lights flickering when he got home...the doctors...the doctors mentioned he was struck by lightning or something. Vincent sat up straight. "No way...but there's only one way to be sure." He raised his hands up and stared at it. He could sense it. He could sense the electricity in the fan, making it turn. He could sense the electricity in the bulbs, lighting them up. He turned his head to the alarm clock on his dresser. He could sense it, all of the electricity flowing into it from the plug in the wall. Vincent got up out of bed and pressed his face against the wall. It was more than just sensing it...he could...feel it. It was all around. He stared at the walls and then turned his head as he felt his dad turn on the TV in the living room. The electricity was flowing into it through the plugged in cords. Walking to his window and pulling apart the curtains, he looked around outside and saw the street lamps. It took him a moment, but he could feel it within them too. It was....amazing. It was everywhere and he could feel it. In his house, in his room, outside, in the neighboring houses...it felt.....wonderful. Stepping back, Vincent raised up his hand and called out to it. He called out to the electricity in the ceiling fan's lightbulbs to come to him. To come to his hand and flow into his body. It took a few seconds but then he saw it. He saw the lights turn off as the electricity became visible and shot through the air and went into his hand. Vincent was freaked out at first but then he felt the power. He remembered this from the hospital, when he touched the machine and he felt the electricity get absorbed into his body. It made him stronger then.....it did the same now. Vincent stood up straighter, stood tall. He kept this up until there was nothing left to take and the bulbs burnt out. Vincent then turned and gestured to the TV. After a few seconds, the screen flashed on. Vincent stared at his hands. "This, this is amazing."

Matthew and Vincent hung out in his room, drinking soda's and playing video games. "Vince....are you sure that you're okay?"
"Surprsingly...yeah...I mean, I got hurt badly but the hospital stitched me up just fine."
"Badly is breaking your arm....you got impaled."
"I got better....look, I'll show you." Vincent lifted up his shirt. Matthew rubbed his chin. Vincent still had some scarring but it was faint now, almost as if he was never wounded at all. "That's...wow...they really did do a great job. Oh! And..." Matthew reached back and handed him a card. "It's from the entire Exodus City Gang, get well soon."
Vincent opened the card and smiled at it. "Thank you man."
"We're family, we're always there for one another."

They were called to dinner.

Re: The Story of Thunder Flash

Dinner was great, they had tacos. Because tacos are awesome.
They talked about what had been going on in all of their lives, boxing, sports, the accident, school, friends, etc. They stood up talking all night. After a few days, Matt and the others went back home, Vincent hugging his cousin goodbye.

After getting all caught up on the schoolwork he'd missed, Vincent was finally ready to go back to school. As he was waiting for the bus, Rick ran up and hugged him. "VINCE! Ohhh man, I'm so glad to see you. Are you finally feeling better man?"
"Like a million bucks Rick." Vincent put a hand on his friends shoulder, giving him a static shock. "Woah!"
"Sorry about that."
"It's all good....listen man, I've been spreading the word about you coming back to life and-"
"Back to life? I was only out for....okay, yeah, back to life."
"Yeah, I've been telling people about your recovery and it spread like wildfire."
"What do you mean?"
Rick grinned as they got on the bus and every student on the bus stood up and cheered. Vince was caught off guard at first but this quickly gave way to a bright smile and he walked down the bus, high fiving students and shaking their hands. He sat down in the back. "So what exactly did you tell them?"
"About you fighting crime, getting hurt and a miraculous recovery. People are going crazy with it, people are turning you into a badass." "I already am a badass."

As they laughed and joked, Vincent looked out the window and looked at the cars and buildings and vehicles and lights they passed. He could see the electricity flowing through all of them, he could see the sound waves, the electrical signals coming out of radios and televisions...
It was everywhere! It was...beautiful. He had no idea...how much electricity was all around them every day! He looked down and could see it in the bus below. It was...like a whole world of brilliant blue light.
"Vince!"
"Huh?"
"You kinda zoned out on me there man."
"Right, sorry. I've just been locked up for awhile. It's good to get out."

Glen View High School.
Vincent walked into the door and saw various students cheering for him. A few hot girls walked up to him, asking him if he was alright, how many guys he really fought, what really happened, all that stuff.
Vincent smiled. "Come sit with me and Rick at lunch and I'll tell you all about it." He grinned.

He talked with students as he walked to class and bumped fists with Rick.
Oh yes, things were looking up.

"How did you just do all that?"

"Easy, chicks dig the immortals."

"You're not immortal Vince."

"Then how do you explain me coming back better than ever?"

"Modern science, good timing, kickass hospital staff."

"I like my explanation better."

At history class, they were watching a long video about the Cold War. Deciding to try out his powers some more, Vincent focused and turned off the Movie, and then back on, and then turned the lights on and then back off. He couldn't help but chuckle at the confusion of the teacher and his fellow students. He leaned back in his seat and let the rest of the class go on as normal.
Vincent bounced from class to class, having fun and just generally taking notes and such.

At lunch, Rick got some pizza and soda and looked around for Vince sitting at his table with the girls from earlier. "So there I was, these guys are trying to mug me but I'm not gonna take that. It's three on one, but I'm in a hurry." He joked. "They come at me but I whup their candy a$$es like I'm freaking Jet Li and go on my way, but one of them calls in the whole gang. Now these guys are pulling out pieces on me and trying to gun me down so I have to get out of there. So I'm running in and out of buildings, parkouring all over the place, ducking and diving and then, just when I'm about to get out of there....this guy....this f-ing guy...." Vincent paused, not just for effect, a genuine pause as he thought back to his death. He remembered the trench coat bastard, he remembered being trapped and....he could swear...there was a woman there.
"And?" A girl asked.
"Well...and...and this guy..sucker punches me with like, get this, a spear. He freaking jumps out of nowhere and stabs me with it. I go down. Hard. A few hours later? Boom. I rise from the dead." He leaned back and crossed his arms.
(Ohhhh boy, I'm going to have to give you a reality check aren't I?) Rick thought to himself as he sat down and listened.
"You're so amazing Vincent!"
"Not as amazingly beautiful as you." Vincent said to the girl.
Rick pinched his nose.

After a fun day at school, Rick talked to Vincent out behind the bleachers.
"Vince....you're my friend, but we need to talk."

"Vince, listen I'm glad you're okay and such but I think this is going to your head a bit. "I mean, you're exaggerating wildly now. That is not the version you told me. What happened? Which one is true?"
"Alright, alright, the truth then." Vincent held up his hands and created a ball of electricity in each one. "I have super powers now. I've been thinking about how to tell you."
"What the hell?!"
"Yeah, I've been having trouble figuring out how exactly it all worked out myself but here's what I do know..." Vincent told his friend
"You get beat up, impaled, struck by lightning and not only do you survive all of that but you get super powers to boot?"
"Yep."
"That is bulls-t man." Rick laughed.
"What can I say? I'm just that great....but it's more than just making electricity, I can see it Rick. I can see it, I can feel it, I can mess with it."
"So that was you messing with the lights in the school?"
"Guilty as charged."
The two shared a big laugh over that. "Kinesis."
"What?"
"It's electrokinesis. It's gotta be."
"I was thinking the same thing. Do you think the school has anything on it?"
"Even it doesn't, this is a School Library. It's bound to have books on the subject of electricity. Call your dad, it's research time."

Training

Post  Admin on Wed Aug 14, 2013 4:39 am

For the next few weeks, Vincent spent his time training by splitting his time between researching electricity through books and through the internet, and honing his powers; learning to shape and manipulate the electricity around him. He discovered that he could use electricity to enhance his muscles, making him faster and stronger. Vincent used this to his advantage and started exercising and working out much more often. Because a simple surge of electricity was all it took to recharge him, he could exercise for much longer than the average person and he quickly began putting on muscle over the weeks of training.

With the usage of static electricity, he could stick to walls.
By shooting out lightning from his hands and feet, he discovered he could fly around, but that lead to him crashing, so for now he decided to ride the electric board: A surfboard made of electricity. It was easier to control.
After further training, Vincent created some new attacks: Electric weapons, electric blasts, electric arcs, an electric forcefield and a massive discharge: A dome shaped burst of energy all around himself. Though...Vincent ended up regretting that one. It drained him completely, leaving him sweating and exhausted, barely able to move.
Vincent had to drain the electricity in his and Rick's cell phones just to be able to get up. This meant that draining himself was not something he wanted to do if it left him in that kind of condition.
And of course, using his powers in and around water was right out.
Although...in his readings, Vincent ran into the idea of electrolysis: separating compounds into their original state. He made a note to figure out how to do that.
He also worked on developing a costume alongside Rick.
And once everything was ready, he posed on top of a building and called Rick to meet him using his electrical communication technique to call Rick's cell phone by generating an electronic transmission.
Rick climbed up using a fire escape and looked around for him.
"Hey man."
Rick looked up to see his friend floating down to the roof, covered in electricity. "Oh man.....that is f-ing BADASS!"

"Damn straight I am! For I am....THUNDER FLASH!"

"So, Thunder Flash what's going to be your big introduction to the world?" "I'm going to beat down every criminal I see until I finally find that trenchcoat bastard. And then I'm going to make him pay. But first..." He tapped into police scanners, searching for any emergency situations.

today looked to be Bonnie's lucky day. She saw Clyde in the street, waved, and he shot a gust of wind at the transport, knocking it over. As he did, Bonnie climbed out

"Hey babe, looking for you all over, didn't know you got transferred here!"

"I'm happy to see you too baby but could ya get these handcuffs offa me?" She'd ask Clyde who nodded. "Can we keep em though? I know how kinky you are" he quips before blowing them off. As they fell off, her hands would glow, and she turned around, blasting the truck, setting it on fire

"One more charge should blow it up, still a bit low on power. Never liked those b-techies anyways" she'd say, hands aimed at the transport. Police radio would be all over this

"Got a big one! This is gonna be awesome." Thunder Flash said and made the lightning surfboard, hopped on and raced through the city on it.
Just as the pair were about to blast the transport, they heard the crackling of electricity above them. Looking up, they saw a Superhero riding a surfboard that had electricity shooting off of it looking down on them. "We can do this one of two ways: I can kick your a$$es all over the place or you can be smart and surrender. It's your call."

Thunder Flash leapt off of the lightning board just as the energy struck it, causing an explosion of energy that sent him flying. He hit the ground and slid across of it. He jumped back up and held up a hand as Bonnie sent more at him to blow him away. His cape flapping in the wind, Thunder Flash channeled the electricity into his hands and sent a blast of lightning at both of them.

Bonnie dove in front of Clyde, both getting knocked back through a store window. The two got up, with Clyde covering Bonnie. Clyde cringed as some of the glass got in his back while Bonnie looked up and patted his cheek. "Thanks baby" she'd whisper before preparing to blast at Thunder Flash again. Clyde grasped her shoulder, and leaned in to say something in her ear. Bonnie would nod and aim at the building behind Thunder Flash, causing debris to drop, while Clyde sent a sharp, cutting breeze towards Thunder Flash's ribs

Thunder Flash reacted quickly, creating an electric shield in front of him to block attacks with one hand and then turning around and creating an electric net to catch the falling rubble. Once civilians were clear, Thunder Flash turned his attention back to the two and blasted above them, hitting the sprinkler system and causing it to turn on, drenching the two. "I would really suggest surrendering now. Water and electricity don't mix."
