A little idea Legato came up with. I'll let him explain.

It would be held by the end of each year. It would concern the following categories

Funniest Moment
Heartwarming Moment
Hero of The Year
Heroine of The Year
Villain of The Year
Team Up of The Year
Fight of The Year(Either one on one or group on group or whatever)

Each of us could vote on it by discussing it on a thread dedicated to the awards. The decision is based on the unanimous vote.

The awards doesn't officially begin till sometime after the thanksgiving holidays. That's when we'll discuss on the voting procedures of the awards

Not mandatory but it would help the voting process greatly

Just copy a RP that you consider worth a nomination and save it on your file till the day of the awards discussion arrive

Heroine of The Year

Two Nominations: NuPenelope and Aureole.


Penelope: Just look at the Warzone arc. Given all the crap she's gone through in her life, she has the backstory of someone who would go crazy and become a villain, but when Vindalee, the first friend she ever had, offered a chance to become one, Penelope's morals won out and she ended up fighting to save the city from Apex's army. She even saved the former bullies when they were attacked, proved herself to have quite a bit of cunning, uses her powers well, and when working with Team Psyche showed her having an eye for tactics and it takes quite a lot to bring her down. Also, very powerful.

Aureole: Okay, might be cheating with this one, but given what she went through in SHR2, and she's the same Aureole from that RPG here....yeah.

Heroine of The Year

Ultra Girl- Now why does she deserve to be nominated? Well in her first run as Ultra Girl she helped save Matt's life when he was attacked by a gang. In a vicious manner that did provide her a little rep, never attack her friends. Also she fought her first two supervillains in Alice and Frost. One that has a bit of a Alice In Wonderland thing going on while another who is a crazy villain that likes to freeze people. She defeated one with no use of violence whatsoever while she defeated Frost by completely relying on strategy instead of brute force. Her true test of heroism however was when she had to fight both Quantum and Slenderman.

When Quantum first started out she really let her presence known by holding a crowd full of people hostage and threaten to fry them till she meets Ultra Girl. Quantum is considered the first supervillain that Ultra Girl encountered to be a complete monster. While Alice and Frost have shown to have some redeeming qualities, Quantum clearly has none. But Ultra Girl still risked her life to save the civilians and barely won against Quantum. The fact that Ultra Girl wasn't completely 100% during that fight, as she just fought Frost before Quantum, just shows how dedicated she was in helping others.

Then there is this guy



Ultra Girl had no idea what she was getting herself into and really was not prepared for the kind of opponent she's facing. She wasn't even sure if she was going to make it out alive. All she knows was there was a friend of hers that was in trouble and if she doesn't do something they'll forever be held prisoner by a supernatural force. Unlike the battle with Quantum this one was of the more mental and spiritual side. Slenderman was looking to make her into one of his followers but Ultra Girl, thanks to moral support from her father and Jennifer, conquered Slenderman and freed Sophia and her family.

And things have just started for Ultra Girl. Especially as now she even has her own team.

Now the year is still young and there are still other heroines to claim the award, for instance, I see things looking up for Spider-Lady and Jade Dragon. So this year's going to be a good year for superheroines as a whole.

Heartwarming Moment

The original Valkyrie sacrificing herself to save Darcy, added with Darcy taking a level and saving Valkyrie in return while Valkyrie herself passes the Valkyrie title to Darcy due to her act of courage.

Now I did not cry but...that was a well done death scene. Marvel and DC themselves could learn a lot from that. You don't have to do a hero death just for the sake of cheap shock value.

As Linkara put it: If you're going to kill a character off, make sure it's their crowning moment of awesome, and let them go down swinging.

So the Heartwarming Nom's for 2013 are

Xander and Anya's reunion in Buffy Season 8 RPG

Carmilla opening up to Hiro about her Eclipse transformation and Hiro's reaction to that in CAU Quantum

Stronghold's memories of Artemis inspired him to come back and defeat Arizona in the Ultra Girl thread

Theres also Supergirl vs Lobo in DC Nation.

Funniest Moment

While the funny moments are mostly Deadpool related, there are a few others that stand out.

1: Skeets having more game than Booster and Guy Gardener.

2: After taking out the fire meta, Penelope walks into a clothing store that is being held up by a loony with a gun. She freezes him without looking, takes off her burnt and damaged clothes and grabs some new clothes for herself.

Villain of The Year

Nomination:

Dracula
It takes a special kind of villain that would rally both the heroes and villains of Quantum together to take down and Dracula is that kind of villain. He made his voice heard during the Vatican Massacre that he's back and with a vengeance. And the Vatican Massacre is just the tip of the iceberg

Grune
Another villain whose introduction has made his presence known. He was shown when he and his squad had just finished destroying a planet sector and is responsible in killing a Galaxy Knight in Union Jack's prequel story.

Bandora
Yes this definitely counts. Joining the ranks of the other villains who have made their presence known in their introduction Bandora never stopped showcasing just how ruthless a villain she is in the Epic Power Rangers Series

Also the arc is definitely going to be epic. Speaking of...Going to continue The Statesmen Arc by tomorrow

Moment of Awesome
-Can we have a round of applause for Concrete? Minor character she may have been, and she's depowered now, but she went down like a champ. Recall Penelope's battle to save her city and the condition she was in at the end of all of it. Look at Penelope now. Concrete came pretty damn close to killing Penelope on her own with a combination of skill and her crazy powerful terrakinesis. Penelope had to unknowingly tap into the crazy powerful monster form to get free and turn the fight around.
Badass.
Hell the fight was an awesome moment for Penelope too considering the size of some of her armors and the attacks Concrete was dishing out.
