General CAU Discussion/Ideas

A place to where you can post ideas for future CAU related RPG's or just talk about the CAU RPG's in general. It could be either in this RPG Forum or the CAU RPGs in CBR.

I'd like to start things off by place holding an RPG idea that we could use in the future, once the other CAU RPG's here have been fully established. I was thinking that we haven't really had a DCU RPG, even in CBR you rarely find em. Cleric once had a DC related RPG but sadly that didn't go over too well, I think it had something to do with outside commitments and with SHR doing really well. So I was thinking since we've had a Marvel/CAU why not have a DC/CAU. Like Marvel/CAU it will be set in a different continuity.

The Original Characters. In order to make this different than Marvel/CAU it would be sort of a start from scratch approach. Which means some of the favorite characters we had in CAU Prime, Marvel/CAU might not make it here. For example characters like the Chase Siblings, as much as I want to, cant be used nor characters like Flannery, Gryphon, etc. This gives you an opportunity to create a new batch of characters

Like I've said though this is a proposal idea, not something thats officialy greenlit. If any of you are interested in the idea then just to get this out of the way who has dibs on the DC related characters, to avoid confusion as to who has who. To start things off

With Wonder Woman I have the idea that would be used as a compromise to both NuDCU and Original DCU. Her origins are more mysterious as with Wonder Woman in this universe it isn't about the origins but more about what she's doing in the now actually. Also she still dons the classic outfit but she can bother to wear different attire either it's the pants costume or something else. Also I have this idea that her home Island Themyscria isn't a primative island. It has technology but a blend of both fantasy and advanced tech

I like the idea of the Ultimen in JLU but in this universe they aren't clones, actually legit superheroes. There will also be a few changes concerning their corporate sponsor

I'd go with more wildstorm/milestone related characters for mine so just a general suggestion of those

and this doesn't mean the discussion thread on CBR is dead does it? lots of good stuff in there

I like the idea
feel it'd be a bit different as govt agencies aren't as prominent in DC you know? a lot of the super powers are centralized in the hero groups

and the only major govt faction is like checkmate or cadmus and most of the organizations are like kobra or something

Well I am willing to play something as long it is cool. I personally like to think of Sphere existing aside CAU. (Though it is GREAT in Cau.)

As for DC/marvel. Not sure. Would love to be a Green Lantern. (I like Kyle's constructs the best.)

Thanks Chou It's actually DC/CAU. Meaning that there are elements of the DCU you are still able to create a whole new universe within it like what we are doing with Marvel/CAU

I might consider bringing some of my old characters from the very first CAU in here

DC Huh? I am a Fan of Green Lantern and Blue Beetle (Current one.)

Captain Marvel is really neat.

For OC character here. I have to think about it. Might use "Gunslave".

Because Gunslave is one of my fav characters.
