Agreed, really looking forward to this one. Still, if it comes out around the same time as MoS, I know where my money's going. Razz

Nah it's around next month. Which is good. Around that time I would have already finished watching the G.I Joe sequel and I need my first horror movie of 2013. Might aswell be Evil Dead

On another subject. The lack of comic book variety.

I've checked out on some Marvel/DC forums and the general complaint I've been getting from the fans is that both universes seems to be too dark.

When looking at both companies from back in the day I remember that it used to have a variety. You'd have your dark comics then you'd have your all ages comics. Now it seems that both universes are becoming dark just for the sake of becoming dark. The way I look at it if you make everything all grim dark with the characters being as morally corruptible than the villains then the readers would find themselves not caring about the hero characters.

I like some variety in my comics. I don't mind a dark but well thought comic but I don't mind a fun escapism kind of comic either.

Invincible. Cool
One Piece. Okay, that's a manga, but my point still stands. Razz

Also Atomic Robo. Not really a superhero but more like an homage to the pulp hero era.

But yeah if there's anything Manga has over American Mainstreme Comics is that it has a variety of what you're interested in

I just hope The Host is as unintentionally hilarious as Breaking Dawn 2. Also it provided me a nice review from Carmilla and Flannery.

Already looks way more fun than the comic was. Dave wearing body armor, older Hit-Girl, The Motherf-er's ridiculous costume, and the showdown apparently happening in the Motherf-er's villain lair is an awesome touch.
I'm really curious how Hit Girl vs Mother Russia will be handled in the move, especially considering how badly Russia pwned her in the comic.

And yes, the rape has been taken out.
Thank God.

Given that they're taking the tragic villain approach with Motherf***er it would be out of character for him to use that scene. Also I'm banking on a romantic subplot involving Dave's friend and Hit Girl now that Mindy's old enough to be involved with him

Spoiler :

I kinda liked Dave and that lady from the first movie but Dave/Mindy isn't too bad.

Katherine "Katie" Deauxma.

I'd imagine Dave/Mindy would be kind of awkward, since he's the sane one, but having a girlfriend who can kick the crap out of pretty much anyone is a plus. Just ask Matthew and Hank. Razz

Just finished playing Tomb Raider. A visually stunning game, not often a game makes me emotionally invested in a character. Where were times I felt like giving Lara a hug.

Squirrel Girl said it best

"Maybe it's just me, but I'm not crazy about super hero stories where everything's all dark and moody. Personally, I like the ones where good guys fight giant apes on the moon and stuff. Remember those? I do. That was back when comic book worlds were places you wanted to escape to... not from."

A world filled with Sociopathic Heroes can go rot. I'm for a variety. Good heroes, morally grey heroes, heroes who were once villains but try to reform. Then there's the good old normal people. They're what make a good comic book universe

This.
I mean, look at Wade, he's insane, but we love him for it.

Also, well outside of the final part of the game, the whole concept made me think that it would have made a nice Die Hard plot. Or Die Hard on a island.
