Agreed, really looking forward to this one. Still, if it comes out around the same time as MoS, I know where my money's going.

I've checked out on some Marvel/DC forums and the general complaint I've been getting from the fans is that both universes seems to be too dark.
When looking at both companies from back in the day I remember that it used to have a variety. You'd have your dark comics then you'd have your all ages comics. Now it seems that both universes are becoming dark just for the sake of becoming dark. The way I look at it if you make everything all grim dark with the characters being as morally corruptible than the villains then the readers would find themselves not caring about the hero characters.
I like some variety in my comics. I don't mind a dark but well thought comic but I don't mind a fun escapism kind of comic either.

Invincible.
One Piece. Okay, that's a manga, but my point still stands.

I just hope The Host is as unintentionally hilarious as Breaking Dawn 2. Also it provided me a nice review from Carmilla and Flannery.

Already looks way more fun than the comic was. Dave wearing body armor, older Hit-Girl, The Motherf-er's ridiculous costume, and the showdown apparently happening in the Motherf-er's villain lair is an awesome touch.
I'm really curious how Hit Girl vs Mother Russia will be handled in the move, especially considering how badly Russia pwned her in the comic.
And yes, the rape has been taken out.
Thank God.

Given that they're taking the tragic villain approach with Motherf***er it would be out of character for him to use that scene. Also I'm banking on a romantic subplot involving Dave's friend and Hit Girl now that Mindy's old enough to be involved with him

Chloe Moretz has said there is gonna be a romantic sub-plot in this movie which seems to be pushing the 2 characters together a lot closer than just kicking ass together as heroes.

I kinda liked Dave and that lady from the first movie but Dave/Mindy isn't too bad.
"Maybe it's just me, but I'm not crazy about super hero stories where everything's all dark and moody. Personally, I like the ones where good guys fight giant apes on the moon and stuff. Remember those? I do. That was back when comic book worlds were places you wanted to escape to... not from."

A world filled with Sociopathic Heroes can go rot. I'm for a variety. Good heroes, morally grey heroes, heroes who were once villains but try to reform. Then there's the good old normal people. They're what make a good comic book universe
