The Skeleton Monster and the first real threat the Ranger's face. When the Ranger's face him at the fair, he attacks them from above with eye lasers from his head while his body fights them on the ground, often teleporting to avoid attacks. When the Ranger's team work overcomes him, he brings himself back together and transports them to his dimension where he swarms them with a seemingly endless army of skeleton warriors. When the Ranger's start fighting through that, he opens up a hole in the ground revealing a lot of lava and then goes to join the battle. The Ranger's blow him apart AGAIN and he reassembles himself. This time however they realize that his head is his weakness, so they go for it. Trini eventually manages to grab a hold of it and throws it into the lava pit, destroying the monster, the skeleton warriors and transporting them back home.

Giant: A giant knight monster summoned up by Witch Bandora to destroy the city while the Rangers were away fighting Bones. Upon returning to their own dimension, they encounter the monster and do what any hero would do.

When that doesn't work out very well, they summon up their zords and tear into him with the individual zords before Jason's Tyrannosaurus Zord finishes him off.

Minotaur:

Bandora's next monster is another raw power type and it battles the Rangers in a rock quarry, overpowering them and smacking the Ranger's around, sending them flying with it's hits and barely feeling their blade baster weapon attacks. Zordon calls the Ranger's back and reveals that he and Alpha have been forging the Power Weapons for just such a situation. The monster begins attacking the city and Jason and the others go out to face him again despite the previous battle. They manage to hold him off long enough for the weapons to be finished and sent to the Ranger's. With their proper weapons in hand, the Rangers give the monster one hell of a beating and then form the power blaster, blowing the monster to heck and back. Bandora makes it grow, they summon the Megazord and destroy it.

King Sphinx:

Bandora realizes that a divide and conquer strategy might be better, so the Sphinx monster is created. It goes down and attacks the city. The Ranger's go to fight him but he uses his wings to blow them away to separate areas around the city where swarms of putties wait to attack each individual Ranger, and then takes Jason to a desert for a solo fight. Jason just manages to gain the upper hand when Goldar shows up and he struggles against the two monsters. After the others manage to defeat the Putties, they regroup at the command center and find that Jason is now taking a pounding from the two. They teleport to his location and even up the odds despite Goldar being, well, Goldar. Jason manages to take down King Sphinx, monsters grow, Megazord fight. They ultimately destroy King Sphinx and send Goldar packing.

Gnarly Gnome:

The Gnome monster uses his magic accordion to brainwash children into working for the forces of evil and gives the Rangers quite a pounding with his invisibility power. When the Rangers do find him, he uses the children as shields and escapes. Back at the command center, Billy, Trini and Alpha work on devices to allow the Rangers to see him and nullify his music. Needless to say, the next fight is much more satisfying and the Rangers destroy his accordion, pound him into the dirt and destroy him.

Yep, he's here. The ravenous pig monster created not only to eat all the food in the city but also the Ranger's weapons. After eating entire restaurant's full of food, he battles the Rangers. Both sides get good hits in until he manages to eat their Power Weapons, their Blade Blasters and even Kimberly. This is to set up a parallel for the Terror Toad battle, where she saves them from a similar predicament. After being blown away by the Pig, they regroup at the Command Center, desperate to save Kimberly. Zordon reveals a special spicy herb that grows in a different dimension. The Rangers leave for that dimension and retrieve it, return to Earth and go after the Pig, tricking him into eating it, which causes him to get sick and spit up everything he ate, freeing Kimberly and their weapons. With the monster weakened, they pound the hell out of it before forming the Power Blaster, shoving it into his mouth and blowing up the monster.

Genie:

The Genie Monster is an incredible foe for the Rangers, his arsenal of magic attacks allowing him to blast them around. They then find out that the Genie monster has a weakness in the form of his magic lamp.With the monster wrecking the city, the Rangers have to go confront him and Alpha goes to destroy the lamp. The Rangers and their Zords take a pounding. Alpha finds the lamp and is confronted by Goldar. Despite taking damage, he escapes with the lamp and destroys it at the command center, weakening the Genie and nullifying his invulnerability. The Megazord destroys him and Billy and Trini repair Alpha.

Eye Guy:

Eye Guy is sent down to capture incredibly bright children and drain their intelligence. He is discovered by the Rangers and fights them. However the constant shifting of his eyes, the fact that he can shoot out of every part of his body and his reassembling himself when blown apart provides a problem for the Rangers. They get intel from Zordon that his main eye, which is in a different area, is his weakness. The others hold off the main monster so Billy and Sarah can go after the main eye. Several of the eyes follow them and Sarah holds them off. Billy fights the main eye and ultimately stabs it with his power lance, damaging it and freeing the children, restoring their intelligence. Monster grows, they use the Mastodon Shield's Cold Spray to make him close his eyes and chill him, and then destroy him with the Power Sword.

Snizzard:

The Snake monster is sent down to capture and destroy the Rangers. Because his golden apple is both his greatest strength and weakness, Bandora recognizes that Kim could be a major problem for it, so she sends a poison snake to bite her, incapacitating the Ranger and forcing Alpha and Zordon to find a cure while the Rangers fight Snizzard. His snakes ultimately manage to wrap them up. He busts them up. Alpha and Zordon cure Kimberly but she is still weak. Despite the lingering pain from the poison, Kimberly goes to help her friends. Snizzard charges up a super arrow with his golden arrow and prepares to fire but his apple is then blown up by Kimberly....who snipes him from the sky while riding on top of the Pterodactyl Zord. She then jumps down and lands on the monster and flips off, landing on her feet. The Rangers get free and proceed to blow up the monster and then a Megazord battle happens. All while Kimberly is in pain from the after effects of the poison. She takes some medicine from Alpha and goes home to sleep it all off.

Mister Ticklesneezer:
The elf monster is sent down to bottle up Angel Grove. It manages to capture some of the Rangers but the rest free their friends and bust him up. Cue Megazord battle. He bottles the Megazord but they call down the Power Sword, freeing themselves and then taking him down.

Knasty Knight:

While Zack's friends plan a surprise party, he gets the wrong impression that they've forgotten it. Bandora however, has not, and sends down her own present in the form of her Knasty Knight monster. It transports Zack and itself to a castle and duels the Ranger, gradually overpowering him, despite Zack putting up one hell of a fight. The others battle Goldar and drive him off before learning from Zordon where Zack is. They teleport there to join the battle. The battle is awesome and they ultimately blast him out of the castle wall and off a cliff. Bandora makes him grow. They form the Megazord and use the Power Sword and Mastodon Shield for an awesome Knight duel, ultimately defeating him.

Pineoctopus:

The pineapple octopus monster takes the form of a clown at a circus, secretly capturing people and turning them into cardboard and propping them up around the carnival. The Rangers go in their civilian forms and notice the people they came there with gradually disappearing. When Pineapple the Clown tries to go for Billy, Bulk and Skull accidentally save him by crashing into Billy while running from clown putties. With the monster exposed, Billy morphs and fights it. The others show up to help but have trouble due to the fact that the cardboard people are everywhere and they can't risk hurting them. Sarah comes up with the solution of having the Rangers grab onto the monster and teleport him outside the carnival, where there are no cardboard people. The monster tries to turn them into cardboard but it doesn't work due to the suits. They destroy him and everyone turns back to normal.

Terror Toad:

Yet another divide and conquer strategy by Bandora, this one rather ingenious. She has Baboo slip the girls on the team the Punk Potion, turning them bad. The Potion works by gradually making you worse and worse. They start out as being more outgoing and emotional, turning into bullies, then thugs and then quickly becoming criminals. She also sends Goldar and the Putties down to assist them, further corrupting them. While this is going on she also sends down the Terror Toad monster to battle the others. Billy, Zack and Jason fight it together but can't even make a dent and are eaten one after the other, with the Toad getting fatter and stronger each time. Trapped inside it, they're energy is drained from them as they are slowly absorbed into the monster. Alpha goes to rescue Kimberly, Trini and Sarah narrowly defeating the Putties and driving off Goldar, transporting the girls to the Command Center and placing them in a force field to contain them, then going off to another dimension to find the Singing Squash which can cure the Punk Potion, busting up more putties as he goes. Returning, he whips up the antidote and gets them to drink it. Now cured, they discover to their horror the Terror Toad has eaten the other three and go to fight it. After some more fighting, the Toad uses his energy tongue to eat Trini. Sarah and Kimberly cut off the horn to stop that but the Toad uses his own tongue to grab Sarah. Kimberly attempts a shot at it's throat but is shoved to the ground by Baboo. The Toad swallows Sarah. Kimberly has a brief BSOD, flashing back to when she was eaten by the Pudgy Pig, allowing the Terror Toad to pummel her. The two villains mock and taunt her and then the Terror Toad makes the mistake of telling Kimberly what's happening to her friends inside of him, enraging her and restoring her fighting spirit. After more fighting, Kimberly discovers that while the monster is bigger and stronger then her, it's not as fast or agile, so she focuses purely on speed and agility to evade the monster and gets it to chase her into the forest where she bounds off trees and the like to disorient him, then loses him in the forest and snipes him with five arrows, one for each friend of hers he took, filling his throat with them and making him spit out the others, restoring their strength. They slash at the monster's throat and then Kimberly destroys it. Baboo runs for it but the girls corner him and beat the snot out of him until Bandora calls him back to the Moon Palace.

Madame Woe

The Elemental Sorceress is an old friend of Bandora's. She is summoned to Earth to cause devastation in the city with her magic. While Billy is trapped inside due to the raging storm, the others are captured inside her crystal. Billy must battle the monster and the elements themselves if he is to rescue them. Fighting through the increasingly bad storms, he reaches Woe and faces her one on one. Despite taking a beating from her powerful magic, Billy eventually succeeds in grabbing the crystal from her head and smashing it, freeing his friends and breaking her magic. The Rangers defeat her.
Meanwhile, Bandora locates the Dragon Coin.

Dark Warrior

The Ninja monster attacks from the shadows with an arsenal of weapons, lightning fast reflexes and incredible martial arts skills. Abducting Trini's aunt and uncle, who had been working on a prototype of an invisibility formula, he lures the Rangers into a dark forest and strikes from the darkness. Trini eventually wises up to his tricks and jumps into the darkness herself, facing the ninja on his playing field. She eventually tracks him down and brings him into the open. The others show up and help her take down the monster.

A new kid in town, Tommy Oliver, displays incredible martial arts skills when he faces Jason in a sparring match. Afterwords he hits it off well with the teens and even flirts with Kimberly. Bandora, realizing his potential, sends a group of putties to wear him down when he's on his way home and she then abducts him, brainwashes him into her servant and gives him the Dragon Coin. His first mission: Infiltrate the Command Center, inject Alpha with a virus and wreck the place, cutting Zordon off from the team.
While the school kids are on a trip, she turns Goldar giant to abduct them and draw the Rangers out. They battle him in the Megazord briefly before the Dragon Ranger jumps up to the Megazord's cockpit and breaks in, battles the Rangers inside and throws them out one by one and then battles them on the ground. Despite having a number's advantage, the Rangers are caught off guard by the fact that they are facing another Ranger. This, combined with the brutality of the Green Ranger, results in them getting a thrashing. After he blasts them away, they retreat to the Command Center to see all the damage that has been done. Alpha's systems overcome the virus and informs them of the attack. While he is unaware of the Green Ranger's identity, he confirms their fears: The new Ranger is not a monster, but a human being.
To further cement her control over the Green Dragon Ranger, she sends him into another dimension to face warriors from the past to retrieve the Sword of Darkness: Hellfriede. This sword not only increases his power but corrupts Tommy, enslaving him to Bandora's will. Meeting with Jason in his civilian disguise, he gets Jason alone and then uses his dark powers to transport him to Bandora's Prison of Darkness, where he must face Goldar alone....without his morpher. Goldar, out of respect for the Ranger, removes his armor and battles Jason. Meanwhile the Dragon Ranger battles the others to test out his new sword. Despite being more prepared this time, the Ranger's are unwilling to go all out against a fellow human and take a beating from him. Despite his raw power, they eventually overcome him with teamwork and drive him off. Jason, meanwhile, is being overpowered by Goldar even with his martial arts skills. He does eventually manage to retrieve his morpher after outwitting Goldar and teleports home.
Even with his escape, Bandora knows he's injured and decides now is the time to call in an old friend: Scorpina, Goldar's Wife. The two are delighted to be reunited and Scorpina eagerly goes down to fight the Rangers. She does well against them but due to being in stasis for so long, she's rusty and has trouble moving like she used to. She is recalled by Goldar and they spend some time training together to help warm her up again. Meanwhile Bandora prepares a spell.
Jason gets bandaged up at the Command Center.
Bandora sends Goldar down as a giant to rampage through the city, drawing the Rangers out with the Megazord. She then grows Scorpina and they battle it together as Bandora's spell reaches completion: A magical eclipse that will sap the power from the Megazord. As if this wasn't enough, she grows Tommy as well. With it's energy dropping fast and outnumbered three to one, The Megazord falls, leaving the Ranger's zordless for the time being as it is transported back to the Command Center for repairs.
In spite of the hopelessness of the situation, they repair enough of the computer's to re-establish connection to Zordon and discover that Tommy is the Green Ranger. They meet Tommy later and confront him but due to there being too many people around, and not wanting to draw innocents into the crossfire or reveal their identities, he leaves. Jason stops him however and swears to save Tommy from Bandora's evil. The inner good in Tommy manages to break through just long enough to hint about the sword before the evil takes over again and Tommy kicks Jason to the ground.
Jason asks Zordon about it and the great wizard just how far Bandora has gone in corrupting him and informs them of the sword's dark history and tells them that the only chance they have of saving him is to destroy it. Meanwhile, Bandora ups the ante again and has Tommy summon up the Dragonzord to destroy the city and the Rangers go to confront it. They plead with Tommy to stop but he has Dragonzord blast them off of a building with it's missiles where Scorpina and Goldar are waiting for them. They battle the Rangers. Realizing that they are just a diversion, Kimberly tells Jason to go take down Tommy, they can handle this. Trusting in his friends, Jason goes to fight Tommy alone and does to him what he did to them: Jumping up onto Dragonzord's head and fighting Tommy ontop of it. Hell yeah. Despite being knocked down from it and the Dragonzord bearing down on him, Jason raises his sword and refuses to surrender. The others drive off Goldar and Scorpina and then get a message from Zordon: The Zords are ready.
They summon up the Zords and battle it individually, in tank mode and then in Megazord mode, dueling it evenly until Jason spots Tommy, remembering that his flute controls it, he entrusts the Megazord battle to the others and leaps down to face him one more time, ready and willing to go all out to save Tommy. They have an epic back and forth duel against each other, culminating in Jason shattering the Sword of Darkness. This temporarily causes Tommy to go berzerk and pummel Jason until he gets a hold of him. The others arrive and they each plead to the good in Tommy. With a scream of rage, Tommy throws his dagger to the side and forces the evil out of himself, freeing himself from Bandora's magic. They demorph and hug. Horrified at what he's done, Tommy attempts to give his morpher to them and prepares to turn himself in to the police. Zordon and the others give him a better option: Join them. Fight alongside the others as a force for good. That it wasn't his fault, he was mind controlled and that they are willing to accept him as a friend and hold their hands out to him. Tommy accepts and hugs the team, takes back his morpher and joins them in a group morph, even yelling up to Bandora that he will never serve her again.
It gets better. Zordon informs them that their Zords can combine with the Dragonzord to form the Mega Dragonzord and the Dragonzord in Fighting Mode. After celebrating the newest member of their team, they go home for a well earned rest.
Bandora? Yeah, she is not happy about this.

The Crystal of Nightmares

Following the Evil Green Ranger Arc, Bandora stops attacking for awhile to prepare something nasty for the Rangers. The Crystal of Nightmares: A crystal of the darkest magic that twists the dreams of it's victims into horrible nightmares of their worst fears. While the Rangers go to a cabin retreat to get some R&R and for a group study session, they are watched by Bandora's minions. At night, when they go to sleep, Bandora transports the crystal into the cabin. Each Ranger experiences horrifying nightmares of their greatest battles going wrong: Trini is too late to save her aunt and uncle and they lose to the now invisible Dark Warrior, Zack is defeated by the Knasty Knight, Jason loses against Goldar in the Dark Prison, Kimberly loses to the Terror Toad and is absorbed along with her friends, Billy loses to Madame Woe and is captured while the city is destroyed by the Storm, Tommy loses the struggle against his dark side and defeats the Rangers. As the crystal grows in power, everything seems hopeless....until one by one, at their darkest moments, the Rangers find the strength inside to carry on, to keep fighting, to battle their fears and save their friends. One by one they overcome their nightmares and free themselves, finding each other again in a misty plane in the dream world. There the crystal manifests itself as a dark, nightmarish being.

It uses their worst fears against them and twists the dream world to it's advantage but the Ranger's fight on and begin using the power of dreams to their advantage.
For courage is not the absence of fear, it is the ability to overcome it.
Things go insane from there and we got a super awesome battle, ending in the Rangers forming the SUPER Mega Dragonzord and blowing it away. In the real world, the crystal shatters, waking them up.
Goldar and Scorpina arrive, expecting to find exhausted, broken, demoralized heroes and are shocked to find them more determined then ever.
Cue betadown with the team fighting as one and getting a clean win against the two as they run away.
Back on the moon, Bandora is sitting on her throne, alone and thinking over the night's events, all of the battles the Rangers have fought, Tommy overcoming her magic, and flashes back to something Zordon once told her.

And while none of her minions are around to see it, Bandora is getting scared.

Shellshock:

A breather ep after the last two rather dark battles, Bandora and her crew are resting and Squatt and Baboo take this time to try and make a monster. And by make a monster, I mean they throw a turtle and a bunch of other stuff into the Monster-Matic and turn it on. They come up with Shellshock and send it down to fight the Rangers. It's actually fairly powerful since it's traffic light allows it to stop, slow down or make the Rangers go again and has a lot of hidden weapons in it's body and a hard shell. Ultimately Sarah is able to defeat it by using an opening to stab it's red traffic light, causing it go haywire and freeze the monster. They then blow it up.

Spidertron:

The statue of the forest guardian is switched with the Spidertron monster and when the school goes on a nature hike, it picks them off one by one, webbing people up and capturing them in a giant web. The Rangers catch onto what's going on and confront the monster. It is ultimately defeated by Zack and then grown giant. It battles the Megazord until catching it in a large web and electrocutes it, doing damage to it. Dragonzord frees them and they combine into the Dragonzord in Fighting Mode and destroy it.

Spitflower:

The flower eating monster, it devours all of the flowers in the city and then spits them back out as biting monster flowers. When the Rangers confront it, it overwhelms them with the sheer number of the flowers and it's own powerful attacks. Bandora makes it grow and it blasts them, sending the Rangers flying but also getting the flowers off of them. They summon their Zords but the monster pummels them, with the Zords unable to penetrate it's armor. The Rangers are ultimately forced to retreat. After going over the battle and analyzing the monster, they it's flower sac is it's weakness and go to confront it, the others drawing it's attention so Kimberly can blast it's flower sac with her exploding arrows. With the monster weakened, they pummel it until it grows and this time they destroy it with the Zords.

Fang:

This one is a little complicated so bare with me. A giant ocean based Kaiju, it's actually fairly harmless unless provoked. Being evil, Bandora naturally provokes it when she finds out that the eggs of the creature are hidden in a cave. She sends Squat and Baboo down to destroy them, something even the two of them feel a little bad about but do it anyway. Hearing the destruction, Fang rises from the ocean to hunt for the ones that destroyed it's young. Bandora arrives and convinces the monster that it was the humans that did it. Fang, enraged, goes on a rampage in the city. Meanwhile, Bulk and Skull, who had seen the monster and were near the area, go hide in the same cave. They discover that Squat and Baboo missed an egg and it looks to be near hatching. Not recognizing the egg, they think it could be a new species and that they could get rich, so they carry it back home with them. The Rangers form their Zords and go to battle Fang, thinking him to be just another monster. They are wrong and get the fight of their lives. Bandora meanwhile, laughs her head off about all of this. Either the Rangers win and they kill an innocent creature or the monster wins and wipes out the city for her. Discovering that they can communicate with Fang, the Rangers try to reason with him but Fang is too furious to listen and even the Dragonzord in Fighting Mode can barely hold it's own. While this is going on, the egg hatches and Bulk and Skull adore the new creature. The fight spills over to where they are and when they hear Fang arguing with the Rangers, put everything together. They run out with the new baby and show it to Fang, shouting that they saved it. Finally getting some breathing room, the Rangers tap into the viewing globe and show Fang the truth. Discovering the true horror of what happened, Fang finally calms down and takes it child, thanking the Rangers and promising to repay them and returns to the sea.

Rockstar

Scorpina uses her magic to summon this monster and sends it to find the Mirror of Destruction, which can supposedly destroy anything that gazes into it. The Rangers have quite a lot of trouble with this one since even when blowing it up with the Power Cannon, it only reduces it to pebbles and the monster quickly comes back together good as new. It ultimately traps a few of them under giant boulders and goes to find the mirror. Sarah and Tommy, being free, confront it. They end up finding the mirror in the middle of the fight and Sarah shines it on the Rockstar, destroying him and causing the boulders to vanish. The Mirror is then destroyed at the Command Center.

Super Putties: Bandora locates the Dokita Clay and begins mining it to create more powerful versions of her forces, starting with the Putties. The new Putties prove to be nearly unbeatable, not only faster and stronger but also splitting into more Super Putties every time they destroy one. Zordon sends Jason and Tommy to locate the Thunder Slingers, mystical weapons that can destroy the Super Putties. They work together to find them and are stopped by Titanus who tests the Rangers. Tommy gives Jason his shield to protect him from the blasts and Tommy borrows Jason's sword to blast the Zord. Ultimatley they prove their worth and are allowed to leave, Titanus even giving them a ride back. The Rangers use the Thunder Slingers to destroy the Putties.

Frankenstein, Zombie Franke and Satan Franke: The first monster to officially be made from the new clay and it's a doozy. It's weapon is a ball and chain. The Frankenstein is extremely strong, smacking the Rangers around and sending them flying with it's hits even knocking them through walls. The Rangers use the Thunder Slingers to weaken it enough to fight it and just when they have the advantage, Bandora makes it grow. They summon the Zords and the Frankenstein proceeds to beat up those too, even outright picking them up and throwing them around. They form the Dragonzord in fighting mode and the fight is more even, with the Rangers winning by drilling through the monster. It explodes but the Rangers see a strange silhouette in the explosion....
Bandora grins and prepares for her ritual.
The next day the team is chilling at the Juice Bar, toasting to another victory when Bandora's evil tower rises from the ground. The sky turns black. Lighting shoots down. The evil from the tower begins tainting the city, corrupting everything. Bandora herself comes down to watch and taunt the heroes.
The Rangers summon the Zords and go to destroy it only to be met by the shadow they saw earlier: Zombie Franke, the twisted corpse of the Frankenstein monster. It battles the Zords until Lokar shows up and blasts them and upgrades the Zombie into Satan Franke. The new super monster is too much and the two ultimately bring down the Zords, with Franke coating them in a foam that freezes them up. With the Rangers vulnerable, Bandora transports them to the Island of Illusion in another dimension where they battle increasingly twisted hallucinations.
Meanwhile Lokar begins poisoning the city and the sheer amount of evil in the area begins spreading further and further, threatening to spread to other cities as well.
And then Fang shows up to battle them both alone to repay his debt.
Due to their prior experience with the Crystal of Nightmares, the Rangers ultimately overcome the illusions and defeat illusionary versions of monsters from the past and find a way home.
Arriving just in time, they see that Fang has been getting pounded by the forces of evil. Enraged, the Rangers manage to break into their zords and restore power. They form the Mega Dragonzord and beat the hell out of Satan Franke, walking right through his attacks and then destroying him with a full power blast. They then summon up Titanus to form the Ultrazord and shoot it out with Lokar, ultimately succeeding in making the demon leave and destroying the tower.
Bandora leaves as well and returns to the moon base.
The Megazord and Dragonzord help Fang back to the ocean and he considers he and the Rangers even now and wishes them well in future battles. Going home deep, deep, deep below the sea, we see that there is a whole species of Fang's Kaiju's down there...

A massive plant monster that grows by absorbing the nutrients from the surrounding area, to the extent that it starts killing off all the other plants. Zack, Kimberly and Billy investigate the rapid deaths of the plants and are caught by the monster's tentacles. The others arrive with their Zords but have trouble fighting it with it's hostages until Sarah blasts it from behind, making it release them. They morph and land on the Sabretooth Tiger Zord and then leap up into their own Zords and take it down, restoring the plants.

Trini believes she has finally master Mantis style Kung-Fu, so Bandora's Mantis monster challenges her to a life or death duel in a different dimension. The battle is strictly between the two of them and goes back and forth for quite some time until Trini ultimately wins. Due to the honor the monster showed, Trini offers to spare it. The moment she turns her back however, the monster blasts her. Enraged at it's cowardice, Trini destroys the monster. Sarah and Trini spend some quality time afterwords and after talking about the battle, finally admit their feelings for each other.

The super Jellyfish monster is one of the more powerful creations. It's armor deflects attacks, it's eye shoots energy beams and the blue parts of it's body can spray out a corrosive acid. In their first encounter the monster beats the Rangers badly. Billy and Trini work on a special spray that protects the suits against it. Coming back for a rematch, the team beats it back until it uses it's umbrella to transport them 'Jelly World' it's own dimension where it's time phased, so their attacks pass through him but he can hit them. Zack blasts it away with his cannon, returning them home and they destroy it.

The Green Candle.
When Tommy is at school, Bandora disguises a putty as a teacher and has her in bring in special wax. When Tommy touches it, it activates and she brings it back to herself, turning it into the Green Candle and lights it. When it burns out, not only will Tommy's powers be transferred to her, but his life will end as well. Bandora is playing for keeps here. She sends down a squad of Super Putties to fight him to burn out his powers quicker. Tommy wins but starts feeling weak. Before he can go to Zordon though, Bandora sends down the Cyclops monster in the form of the Dragonzord and it begins wrecking the city. Tommy can't believe his eyes. He tries to gain control of what he thinks is his Zord but gets knocked off the building. He figures it out and summons the real Dragonzord to fight it, all while his powers and life continue to burn away. Bandora sends down Goldar and Scorpina and a swarm of Super Putties to attack the school, distracting the others. Zack, Billy, Trini, Kimberly and Sarah go to stop them. Meanwhile Jason is informed of the situation. Alpha and Zordon ultimately are able to transport him to it's location but detect a very powerful presence there. Arriving to stop the candle, Jason is confronted by none other then Bandora herself. Jason steels himself for the battle and attacks Bandora who easily blasts him back. The Dragonzord knocks down Cyclops but it begins taking other forms: The Megazord, The Dragonzord in Fighting Mode, a giant version of the Pink Ranger and ultimately the evil Green Ranger. As Tommy struggles to stay alive, the others battle Bandora's forces in the school and Jason struggles to inflict any damage at all on Bandora. The evil witch shrugs off Jason's best shots, even sucking up blaster fire and spitting it back at him. However no matter how much damage she inflicts or how many times she knocks him down Jason keeps getting up. He summons up all the power of his Dino Coin and charges it into his sword and slashes at her, just barely scratching her face. However her surprise that he managed to do so gives Jason the chance he needs to get past her and grab the candle. Bandora blasts him down and begins electrocuting Jason. The others finally manage to drive off Goldar and Scorpina and go to help Tommy who has been knocked out of the Zord and is on his last legs. They call their Zords and manage to take down Cyclops. Zordon and Alpha teleport Jason back home before Bandora can finish him. The others bring back Tommy. Despite his injuries, Jason shows that he did indeed get the candle and they have Tommy squeeze it. They are too late to save his powers but they do save his life. Knowing he can't let Bandora get his powers, Tommy gives the coin to Jason, transferring them to him instead.
The team tearfully hugs him goodbye and he promises to stick around. He and Kim kiss by the lake. As the city is fixed up, Jason stands on a skyscraper and plays the Dragon Dagger as he watches the sun set.

I was thinking that Tommy could be introduced somewhere after the two part intro of Epic Power Rangers as a way to build him up but wont become the Green Ranger at least till later on.
